colour in the garden

Hello my dears

The garden has suddenly come alive with colour and I thought you might care for a gander...

So many pretty flowers...

As soon as tulips come along they really change the mood of your garden don't they, providing a riot of colour for your peepers. As a note to myself I must plant lots and lots more for next year.

I must admit I am a real sucker for white flowers too so if your eyes hurt from all of the above I have just the remedy for you my friend...

Aah lovely.

    1. That is rubbish, I had a disappointing year for flowers last year but this year it seems to be coming on nicely, mind you I do spend a ridiculous amount of time out there, I think Allsy's starting to forget what I look like! Hopefully yours will pick up soon x

    1. Thank you, it all looks much more colourful that I expected it would if I'm honest. I tend to buy a lot of the white varieties of plants as white flowers truly do make me go weak at the knees so all this colour was a nice surprise :)

  5. Woah! Loving your garden a lot! So true about the colour injection that tulips bring, I really must get round t planting more bulbs this year ready for next as I was super-lax on the planting front last year and am regretting it already.
How lucky that you can sit outside and sip a cup of tea whilst looking out at them all xx

    1. I left my bulb buying and planting until really late last year and was so worried that none of them would flower this spring (some had even started to go mouldy so it was a miracle that they have!!) time escapes you though sometimes doesn't it! I have vowed that I will buy far more bulbs this year and be much more prepared than last, whether that will actually happen or not is a different matter though :)

Thank you, I do feel lucky, that's my favourite place to be, sat outside looking at the garden, listening to the birds xx

    1. Don't worry Nina, it'll catch up. It is funny how much the timing of people's gardens differ though isn't it, when the daffodils flowered this year, daffodils in gardens just around the corner from mine flowered a whole week before my own! Nature works in strange ways :)

  8. Wow so many beautiful things to capture in one garden, you must work hard at it. I love them all but the tulip just about to open is my favourite.

    1. They are drumstick primulas (or Primula denticulata if you want to be fancy pants). They're one of my favourite flowers, we have a lot of the purple variety and they're rather lovely too :)
