mum's planters

Thank god it's Friday! I have felt flat as a pancake all week and am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend.

Anyhoo, last week was my lovely mumly's birthday. My mumly is the greatest, so for her present I planted up the pots in front of her house with an array of yellow and blue/purple Spring flowers (mmm, my favourite combo). She was away in Whitby last week so I wanted it to be a nice surprise for her upon her return. My mum and dad have a dog Tilly (as seen here with Allsy's jazzy socks) she's a lovely little dog but very naughty indeed and she has dug up all my mum's back garden. So in the absence of being able to do anything to her back garden for fear of it being destroyed, I thought it would be nice to at least brighten up the front of her house.

I forgot to take any before photos as I'm an idiot and I got overly excited but here's what the planters look like now...

And here's all those lovely little plants close up...

It had just rained when I took those photos but I must say I do love all the little water droplets.

I also bought my mumly a hanging basket and planted that up, unfortunately that wasn't much of a surprise as I turned up with it after they'd got back home (this may or may not be due to the fact that I laid in bed a tad too long), oh well, the gesture was there ey!

Whilst at my folks house I also took the opportunity to take a few more snaps of their garden...

Spring is here but it looks like some of the plants haven't been told.

That's all folks. I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you end up doing x
